The Beginning....
Late 1996 the founder of Wood & Toys returned from a holiday abroad with wooden toy gifts for friends and family. The delightful Wooden Toys were the focus of attention and admired by all. Requests to source similar items soon became a regular occurrence and in 1997 Wood and Toys opened in Newark. Selling traditional and educational wooden toys, the shop offered a unique experience and quickly built a reputation as the go to place for quality wooden toys and gifts.
The Present....
Still trading from the same premises in Newark while under new ownership Newark's most established Wooden Toy Shop retains its commitment to traditional and educational wooden toys.
Wood and Toys launched its website and online shop in July 2014.
